ABOUT THE JOB

JPI has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Intern to join our Finance team located in Irving, Texas.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated college intern to support our Accounts Payable team within the Central and West Construction divisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in finance, accounting, or business operations to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the Central and West Construction AP email inbox daily.

  • Review vendor statement submissions to ensure all corresponding invoices have been received and processed:

    • Verify if Purchase Orders (POs) have been created.

    • Confirm linkage between invoices and POs in the system.

    • Check whether invoices have been reviewed and approved by the respective Project Manager (PM).

  • Forward vendor invoices to the Offsite Services Vendor (OSV) team for processing.

  • Communicate with vendors to address inquiries regarding the status of their payments and resolve discrepancies as needed.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and procurement, to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing.

  • Assist with other administrative and financial tasks as assigned by the AP Manager.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements

* Currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel).

* Willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
