Position summary:
The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for all clerical functions associated with centralized receiving, primarily maintaining accurate receiving records for material received at Troup County and Alabama operations (Kyle I, II, III, Warehouse 42, G.S.T.C, RCA, and Carter Warehouse), and remote locations for IT, Sales, and Marketing. This associate will assist in receipt verifications at remote sales offices.
Educational requirements:
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required
Skills and experience:
  • 2 years Receiving experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exercise independent judgment
  • Excellent organizational skills (planning and prioritizing)
  • JDE experience preferred
  • Must be able to adhere to deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must meet license requirements for Powered Industrial Equipment
Essential duties:
  • Ensure Sarbanes Oxley receiving requirements are met
  • System administrator for Trackpad delivery tracking system in LaGrange
  • Project leader to expand Trackpad delivery tracking system usage at all locations
  • Create and maintain shared drives for inventory reporting
  • Maintain receiving logs, manual and/or electronic
  • Work with remote sales offices to ensure receiving and receipts of purchases are accurate
  • Image receiving documents - scan and index
  • Daily verification of completed deliveries, signatures
  • Coordinate distribution of received material
  • Maintain accurate location board for contents and location of dropped trailers and storage trailers on lots in LaGrange
  • Take photographs of "exception" deliveries, damaged freight, and assist with freight claims
  • Generate reports and problem solve with UPS technical services
  • Perform data analysis of driver routes, efficiencies, and times
  • Collect, verify, summarize, and distribute monthly inventory data from trailer staging lots in eleven locations in Georgia
  • and Alabama
  • Distribute month-end trailer audit sheets and color-coded inventory stickers
  • Conduct month-end and quarter-end SOX audits and reports
  • Provide dock or yard assignments to freight and local delivery drivers
  • Serve as back-up for receiving material handler
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Comply with safety rules
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical demands:
  • Frequent walking and standing during an eight-hour shift
  • Climbing stairs is required
  • Lifting 65 lbs.
Work environment:
  • Office environment with frequent trips to non-climate-controlled dock areas and trailer yard
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work required
