The Analyst in Business Intelligence will leverage enterprise-wide data to make meaningful recommendations that drive the business forward. This is a high visibility position that will work with multiple departments and large data sets on a variety of business problems at the enterprise level. Our group partners with internal business executives across Sales, Operations, Finance and Data Science to produce meaningful executive level reporting/dashboards and insights. Candidate must possess solid communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage, evaluate, and present large amounts of data from multiple platforms in simple, meaningful visual formats. The Analyst should be able to extract meaning from a large amount of data relevant to the analysis and formulate a concise and cohesive story. Individual must be able to handle multiple, competing priorities and solve problems with efficiency. Success in this position will require excellent time management skills. In this role, you will:
- Partner with your manager and others to work with business leaders to develop strategies, evaluate opportunities, and provide clear and concise recommendations based on comprehensive analysis
- Investigate underlying business trends and identify problem areas prior to trend development
- Build scalable reporting and processes to monitor strategic KPIs and provide visibility to stakeholders
- Deliver executive level presentation and reporting solutions to leadership for measurement, analysis, and process improvement
- Provide analytical support to highlighting findings with measurable solutions for various projects and stakeholders
- Anticipate business needs, operate with a sense of urgency, and have the ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Respond quickly to ad-hoc data requests
- Other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, statistics, computer science, business with analytics focus, or related field, or equivalent working experience
- 3+ years in a business analyst or similar role. If any of that 3+ years of prior experience was as a consultant we would like to see at least 1+ years of experience with the same client
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills
- Intermediate data modeling skills
- Able to analyze and extract intelligence from large and obscure data sets
- Advanced data manipulation and transformation skills
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Proven track record of developing creative solutions to complex and ambiguous problems
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; able to pose complex strategic decisions for management to present to business leaders with clarity and precision
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in a business analyst or similar role
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills
- Able to analyze and extract intelligence from large and obscure data sets
- Advanced data manipulation and transformation skills
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Proven track record of developing creative solutions to complex and ambiguous problems, and effective cross-team collaboration across functions and levels
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; able to pose complex strategic decisions for management to present to business leaders with clarity and precision
- Problem solver with an eye towards continuous improvement and automating processes to scale
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
