Lead and manage a team of attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals in an identified practice group. Serve as the primary subject matter expert and senior leader of their practice group who sets organizational strategies to support the mission of the Institution and the Office of the General Counsel. Proactively representing the Office of the General Counsel in the campus and surrounding community as a solutions provider. Provide input to the Deputy General Counsel on key priorities, resource allocation, and strategic goals. Provide advice, counsel and training regarding legal requirements, best practices, and strategies for managing risk. Provide leadership and serve as a key advisor in protecting the legal interest of the Institute and ensuring its operations are within the scope of established law and policy. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback and career development opportunities, and making pay recommendations. Responsibilities
