The Developer (Front-End) II will directly support client delivery with a focus on demonstrating value and impact delivered.This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining front-end user interfaces for clinical health applications within the Joint Operational Medical Information System (JOMIS). The Developer will build user-friendly, responsive interfaces for readiness scoring, profiling dashboards, and clinical workflows. Responsibilities include user interface testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and supporting health data visualization and API integration..

Type of Employment: Full-time, W2

Work Location/Travel: Remote with up to 25% travel to Navy installations, military treatment facilities, or government offices; relocation not required

Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000 annually (W2, based on education, experience, and geographic location)

Role Reports to: Project Manager

Direct Reports: This role has no direct reports

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain front-end components for JOMIS clinical health applications.

  • Design and implement user interfaces for profiling dashboards, readiness workflows, and clinical health tools.

  • Conduct user interface testing to ensure functionality, performance, accessibility, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and clinical stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure usability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues across browsers and devices.

  • Support integration of health data APIs, including FHIR, where applicable.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of front-end development principles and frameworks.

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web application development.

  • Experience designing interfaces for clinical or healthcare applications.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Education/Certification Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

Experience Required:

  • 6 to 12 years of front-end development experience.

  • Proven experience building clinical health app interfaces, dashboards, or readiness scoring tools.

  • Experience developing user interfaces for visualization or workflow applications.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with React.js, Angular, or similar front-end frameworks.

  • Familiarity with clinical development environments or JOMIS.

  • Experience with version control systems and front-end testing tools.

Desirable (Not Required) Skills/Experience:

  • Certification in React.js or Angular.

  • Experience with FHIR or other health data APIs.

  • Experience developing front-end components within the Department of Defense or public sector health systems.
