Job Description

Overview:

Vitro Automotive Glass produces advanced glass products for the world's most well-known automotive manufacturers. We work collaboratively with our customers to ensure that our glass provides the safety, comfort, and efficiency required for today's modern vehicles.

Vitro Automotive Glass operates glass manufacturing plants, fabrication facilities, and distribution centers worldwide that are solely focused on the production of automotive glass. This scale allows us to provide the quality and technology required for large volume OEM production, while bringing that same attention to detail and quality to our automotive replacement glass (ARG) operations.

Internship Locations Available: Elkin

Responsibilities:



  • Work under the direction of the onsite mentor
  • Assist with improving our performance in manufacturing automotive glass
  • Hands-on experience working on one of our Process Value Streams
  • Focused involvement with the equipment and people producing glass for the automotive industry
  • Hands-on manufacturing floor position
  • Focus on process improvement, including improved yields, reduced pattern changes time, cycle time reduction, or downtime reduction
  • Responsible for completing or participating in at least one strategic project during the internship, and giving a short presentation to the executive team that showcases the project


Qualifications:



  • Candidate must be a Junior going into their senior year
  • Candidates must pursue at minimum their Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, etc), Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
  • Candidate must have a 3.0 GPA minimum
  • No previous internship experience required
