What is the Opportunity?

Operations Fulfillment supports retail and business deposits including ACH origination. Retail loans, insurance monitoring, mortgage post-closing, collections, level one operational risk, internal controls, and procedures. Senior Managers have supplier management responsibilities, and are accountable to drive optimization and efficiencies with their suppliers and in their teams. They also act as subject matter experts to support transformation projects and assist in the resolution of customer complaints to create an optimal client experience.

What will you do?

The Team Lead - Operations Fulfillment will create and execute training and development plans for Operations Fulfillment staff and will be the lead trainer for new team members. The Team Lead will provide supervisory oversight for daily Operations Fulfillment processing and activities to include approval decisions necessary to effectively complete work assignments. This will include, but is not limited to, decisions on processing, money movement, and exceptions. These decisions could have impacts to RBC Bank's Regulatory Compliance and related risk. This role will be considered in charge and accountable for Operations Fulfillment as needed and/or in the absence of other Operations Fulfillment leadership and must be able to discern when an issue should be escalated to a more senior level of management and/or requires assistance to make an appropriate decision. In addition, this role will evaluate and make approval recommendations outside of their personal Delegated Authority to various levels of management which requires strong communication skills to be able to clearly articulate their position and justification. This role is expected to deliver a differentiating client experience to RBC Bank clients, both internal and external, by ensuring daily activities completed by the team are accurate, within determined SLA's and Delegated Authority and by always living our service excellence standards. This role requires a high level of versatility and flexibility to effectively support daily routines and priorities across Operations Fulfillment and must be able to lead and support changes to priorities as they occur. The Team Leader - Operations Fulfillment is considered the Subject Matter Expert on process, procedure, systems and applications used to fulfill the duties of the team and must always be seeking to identify areas for improvement, formulate recommendations and be able to build out, implement and tracking the changes needed to effectively improve the process.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 3 to 5 years bank operations or related experience

  • Customer focused, problem solving, analytical mindset and passion for understanding the end to end process and impact on the client.

  • Community College, Bachelor's Degree or Higher

  • Expertise in Banking Operations and Regulatory Requirements

  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to achieve results through vendors, team members, and business partners, proficient organizational skills, and a demonstrated passion for execution excellence.
