The energy practice at Accenture is an exciting area of growth. The practice focuses on managing energy spend for clients across all industry verticals, from national retailors to heavy industrials. The energy team collaborates closely with clients to identify goals and develop strategies for reducing costs, hedging against market risks, and setting budgets and tracking financial performance. Sustainability services include emissions measurement, target setting, decarbonization road mapping, sustainability project implementation, and emissions reporting.

Consultants provide the foundation for all these client-facing activities, with direction from the firms experienced leadership. You will play a critical role in building and providing analyses and recommendations that will be the basis for key client decision making relative to their energy strategies and procurement.

Typical client-facing projects would involve:

  • Manage Accenture Energy COEs contract renewal and negotiations for all assigned clients
  • Drive value to Accenture Energy COEs bottom line by identifying and recommending additional opportunities for client engagement with Accenture Energy COE support. (Upsells)
  • Identify opportunities to improve clients profitability with Accenture Energy COE
  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and drive value for the organization
  • Develop, organize, and update client trackers to demonstrate Accenture Energy COEs value to the client
  • Hold ongoing client management update calls to establish regular communication cadence, including contracted market calls
  • Research and understand each clients industry in order to tailor these trackers and update calls to the clients specific goals
  • Manage day-to-day communications with each client to ensure their concerns are addressed on a timely basis
  • Coordinate communication between client and Accenture Energy COE subject matter experts to support scope expansion.
  • Lead Accenture Energy COEs client management from both the physical and financial market perspective in order to assist in the maximization of Accenture Energy COEs clients energy supply opportunities and coordinate all supply related purchases.
  • Set client and internal team expectations and monitor product delivery while looking for opportunities for new products, product enhancements, and savings initiatives.
  • Responsible for accurate client company information and client data in Accenture Energy COEs proprietary systems.
  • Understand and be able to instruct others on the burner tip economics of all assigned client facilities. This includes the review/understanding of all applicable tariffs/summaries, special contracts, supply sources and available pipelines.
  • Provide monthly client status updates to internal management team regarding renewals and upsell opportunities

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Consulting or Energy industries.

  • Minimum of 3 years managing client contract renewals

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental / energy, engineering or business degree, or degree in a related field

  • 3 years of experience in problem solving and independent decision-making capabilities.

  • 3 years of experience in Negotiation Skills which include Confident, Active Listening and Adaptability.

Bonus points if:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex models and ad-hoc reports.

  • You excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs, and demonstrating leadership

  • Comfortable in a performance-driven environment and possess a strong capacity for innovation and process improvement

  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously. Deadline driven.

  • You have the proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
