About the Role
The Senior Analyst, PowerPlan IT will be responsible for the overall management and effective functioning of the PowerPlan IT platform. He/she will interface with outside support providers and third-party contractors to ensure the PowerPlan platform is fully functional and trouble-shoot any operating errors. The Senior Analyst, PowePlan IT will also be responsible for validating the system integrity of PowerPlan as it pertains to all system generated reports. Must be able to work in a multi-faceted, process centric, high performance team environment with an understanding of how individual responsibilities impact the larger organization accountabilities What You'll Do
*Supports all aspects of the PowerPlan IT platform in relation to the reporting and accounting functions of Plant Accounting. *Assist with month end close activities within PowerPlan including running processes and addressing errors *Facilitate the timely and accurate settlement of transactions between SAP and PowerPlan in support of all reporting requirements of Plant Accounting. *Interact directly with contractors and outside support providers in the maintenance and system-wide management of PowerPlan. *Perform comprehensive periodic reviews of the PowerPlan system to address deficiencies and formulate corrective measures. *Work with the Manager, Work Order Life Cycle to trouble shoot any system errors. *Perform all back-end support functions in PowerPlan to ensure accurate reporting to the SAP general ledger. *Run system-wide diagnostic tests to identify improper reporting or other operating deficiencies that impair data. *Provides appropriate IT infrastructure support to Operating Companies across multiple geographic locations. *Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the information security within PowePlan. *Exercise independent judgment in managing daily operations and resolving issues while remaining accountable for all actions to next-level management. Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. *Experience in PowerPlan system management and support preferred *Experience with Oracle databases and SQL, a plus. *Experience managing a systems analysis function or supporting internal use of SAAS based CRM, Accounting, or PSA systems. *Microsoft technologies, UNIX and Linux, networking and databases required. *Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. *Experience managing WAN, Data Integrity and ability to troubleshoot Software Applications required. *Knowledge of general ledger platforms, with a strong preference for SAP. *Significant exposure to large scale processes and process improvement efforts. *Knowledge and/or exposure to Maximo, STORMS and other work management systems preferred. *Experience in managing projects and evaluating performance levels.
