Location:BWP Shift: Varies Pay Rate:$22.10- $22.10 Job Description Southwire seeks enthusiastic and committed individuals who are interested in learning the technical skills necessary to successfully work in a manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Apprenticeship Program provides a pathway for individuals to learn and master manufacturing maintenance skills while earning a salary in a career that can lead to opportunities and advancement within the manufacturing industry. As a student and apprentice, you will rotate between attending classes and working at Southwire. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, you will be equipped with both hands-on and institutional knowledge of industrial maintenanceand will be prepared be to assume a role as Senior Millwright or Senior Electronic Technician at Southwire. Southwire Maintenance Apprenticeship Program includes the following commitments from you: The Maintenance Apprenticeship Program requires a 2-year commitment to work and school. The ability to apply for technical school financial aid for applicable grants, scholarships prior to acceptance into the program. Here is our commitment to you: The ability to get paid to go to school & work immediately. Experience hands-on instruction. Apply your new skills to real projects for Southwire. Periodic pay increases based upon successful completion of both classroom training and on the job tasks. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent recognized by local school authorities. Copy of college/technical school transcripts or DD-214 (if applicable) Physically able to perform work (stand, lift, bend). The ability to get to and from work and school. Willing to submit to and pass a drug test and physical upon acceptance.
