POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing and Design Associate is an entry-level graphic design and social media role responsible for preparing and publishing brochures, flyers, and digital assets for social media platforms. They will work with the direction of senior graphic designers to create physical and digital media in alignment with corporate design standards. This position reports to the Manager of Marketing & Communications. JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following, but other duties may be assigned. * Create graphics including brochures, pamphlets, posters, catalogs, newsletters, online content, etc. * Works with marketing team as well as other departments and subject matter to develop creative ideas and execute them professionally. * Archive, organize and maintain electronic files of advertising, images, and literature for up to five years. * Responsible for photography and videography as needed. * Responsible for original advertisement submission in accordance with the deadlines, artwork specifications, and provided by the publisher. * Responsible for timely graphic creation and artwork design for home office and branch offices as needed per requests. * Research and use the latest computer technology and other appropriate mediums to produce creative and innovative graphic design/artwork for use within the Marketing Department. * Works within guidelines of corporate brand and design. * Works with the manager to print brochures, catalogs, and promotional items. * Keep stakeholders abreast of assigned project statuses in weekly meetings or as requested. * Assists with managing BAUER website. * Assist Marketing Manager with design, set-up, execution, and dismantle of company tradeshows. * Manages company image by responding to reviews and questions on social media, proactively addressing public concerns on and acting as a spokesperson for BAUER in response to sensitive situations as needed * Illustrate design ideas using process flows and demonstrative software to show functionality and overall layout. * Make adjustments to content based on stakeholder feedback. * Assists with other department responsibilities as directed by the department manager. * Ability for Domestic Travel (10%) - While travel will not occupy a major portion of the position when travel occurs, it can range from 3-7 days at one time. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Ability to meet tight deadlines and excel in an environment of ever-changing priorities. * Completion or current pursuit of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design, or another related discipline. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management. * Highly creative with a positive attitude and strong affinity for teamwork. * Ability to articulate value and incite emotional response pertaining to products including industrial products. * Must be able to effectively create original designs and bring well thought out ideas / concepts to the table. * Proficiency in MAC OS X AND PC along with Microsoft Office. * Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is required. Strong organizational skills and highly self-motivated. * Ability to work independently, multi-task several projects at once and meet quick deadlines | |
