Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager to support our nuclear third-party qualification and procurement projects. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to gain experience in the nuclear industry, planning and coordinating successful projects, and ensuring projects are completed within the specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of managing project timelines while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Salary: $22- $32/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Coordinate, track, and report on the performance of multiple ongoing projects
  • Support project engineers with the completion of project objectives
  • Ensure projects are delivered within deadlines and budget
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Effectively communicate with management, project engineers, technicians, and support staff
  • Effectively communicate with customers
  • Obtain and retain knowledge and training needed to support a testing environment
  • Learn Nuclear quality standards such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1


Skills / Qualifications

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills (speaking and writing) and the ability to interface on management and line-levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Must possess initiative and drive to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrates good judgment when resolving risks / issues
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Working Conditions:
  • Mainly office locations within a test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
