Senior Construction Systems Manager, Mission Critical

Job Description:

This position sits within Ryan Technology and reports to the Director of Technology Applications, with a core focus on aligning technology investments and project delivery frameworks with the needs of Ryan's construction operations teams. You will act as a key bridge between field leadership, Operational Excellence, and the enterprise's Technology organization assuring that our systems, tools, and processes directly support the performance, efficiency, and scalability of our construction projects. You'll work alongside a growing, multidisciplinary team of technologists and professionals spanning construction operations, software engineering, building design, cybersecurity, and innovation. The role requires someone who understands the nuances of field operations and project execution and can elevate strategic initiatives across scheduling, cost management, quality, safety, and real-time data reporting.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Embed with field teams to understand operational workflows, pain points, and unmet needs; help translate those into actionable technology priorities.

  • Provide strategic oversight and coordination for construction-facing technology systems (jobsite safety, project controls, scheduling, materials tracking, QA/QC, VDC/BIM, field reporting, etc.).

  • Establish and manage technology project delivery framework that support consistent execution of technology and process improvement initiatives across jobsites.

  • Define success criteria for construction-focused technology projects and ensure alignment with both operational goals and customer outcomes.

  • Partner with field leaders, project managers, and superintendents to optimize the performance and adoption of project delivery tools and systems.

  • Develop KPIs and reporting structures to track technology project implementations, resource allocation, and ROI of initiatives.

  • Lead strategic planning efforts and alignment for emerging field technologies (robotics, real-time sensing, predictive analytics, etc.).

  • Ensure timely communication and clear documentation of decisions, timelines, and responsibilities across a portfolio of projects.

  • Travel to jobsites and regional offices to build trust, observe current-state workflows, and validate future-state solutions.

To be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project delivery, operations support, or project controls, preferably with a general contractor or design-build firm.

  • Deep familiarity with field operations, project scheduling, cost controls, and digital construction tools

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between operations teams and technical resources.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving technology rollouts, process change, or system integrations in a construction environment.

You will really stand out if you can successfully perform the following:
  • Have worked on complex project types, especially in Mission Critical, Healthcare, or Industrial sectors.

  • Have a PMP certification and/or experience with Lean Construction, Choosing By Advantage, or A3 Thinking.

  • Develop, evaluate, and deliver projects without personal bias, and in careful consideration of many different perspectives.

  • Are fluent in change management principles and stakeholder engagement across field and enterprise functions.

  • Are comfortable working in Agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery frameworks.

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and are energized by the opportunity to shape how construction teams work and deliver projects.

Eligibility:

  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

The base pay is $108,500-$162,800/annually. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
