Cyber Security Intern

(Monday - Friday) 8:00AM-1:00PM

Oostburg, Wisconsin (On-site)

The Cyber Security Intern will assist the Information Security Analyst in various tasks related to protecting our systems and data from cyber threats. The goal of this position will be to offer hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity while learning from our cyber security experts.

Duties / Responsibilities:



  • Investigate and respond to phishing reports and suspicious emails or attachments.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs from MDR, email, and endpoint tools.
  • Respond to alerts from monitoring tools and escalate issues as needed.
  • Compile reports on log analysis and incidents, including recommendations for prevention.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and assessments; document findings and suggest mitigations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of security policies and best practices.
  • Stay informed on current cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Assist with staff security awareness and training initiatives.


What You Can Offer:



  • Currently enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor, or Masters Degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field with a minimum of two semesters of Information Technology study.

  • 1-2 years experience working with computers, technology, or a related discipline.


  • Basic knowledge of cyber security concepts, principles, and tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and network protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Passion and curiosity for learning new skills and technologies.
