Senior Data Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineerto join our experienced and collaborative data engineering team. This role replaces a long-tenured engineer with deep software and data expertise, and we're looking for someone who can match that high bar. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, integrating business-critical data sources, and enabling enterprise-wide analytics and automation.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring deep proficiency in SQL, Python, and C#, as well as strong experience with modern cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows using SQL, Python, and C#.
  • Work across a variety of systems and platforms to ingest, transform, and serve high-quality data to business users.
  • Build and optimize data models, ETL/ELT processes, and data marts for analytical and operational use cases.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver integrated data solutions.
  • Leverage Azure services (e.g., Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks) to manage data workflows at scale.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of data pipelines and systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and driving best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and data engineering.
  • Expert-level SQL skills- able to write complex queries, optimize performance, and design data models.
  • Proficient in Pythonand C#for data pipeline development, automation, and API integration.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, especially in Azure(e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks).
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, warehousing, and ELT/ETL processes.
  • Proven ability to build scalable, maintainable, and well-documented data systems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar distributed data processing tools.
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies and real-time data architectures.
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD for data workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Industry experience in energy, oil & gas, or manufacturing is a plus.
