Overview

The Company is in search of a Database Management Specialist - Level II to support our federal client. The succesful candidate will p0rovide technical expertise in database management.



Responsibilities

    Provide highly technical expertise in the use of DBMS.
  • Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated user requirements.
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
  • Test and assist in the implementation of changes or new database designs.
  • Monitor database usage and statistics. Knowledge of relational database environment.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Public Trust Tier 2 security clearance - Moderate risk (formerly MBI Level SB)

  • Ability to travel to client locations in Washington, DC and within the United States.
  • Ability to travel to Edgewater Headquarters in Frederick, Maryland.
  • Required to sit for extended periods-of-time
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse & to handle other computer components
  • Ability to lift/transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers, devices, and peripherals (50 lbs, max.)
