Overview

Own Your Future. Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Weapons Planner at Barksdale AFB, LA.

This position is for an experienced standoff weapons planner and liaison. The candidate will be the Armament Directorate Long-Range Systems Division (AFLCMC EBJ) Joint Program Office (JPO) representative/liaison between EBJ and Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) Standoff Munitions Application Center (SMAC) at Barksdale AFB and other organizations of interest to EBJ and its mission.

This position requires 100 percent in-person work at Barksdale AFB, LA
The candidate shall have Air Force, Army, and/or Navy operational experience in the implementation of long-range weapons. Candidate shall be a highly motivated, self-starter, able to work in a highly classified environment with minimal govt oversight and direction on day-one. Candidate shall be able to perform in a highly dynamic work environment, interface, and effectively communicate.

Responsibilities

As the EBJ to SMAC liaison and standoff weapons (SOW) mission planner you will:
* Have expert knowledge of and expertise in SOW planning tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for long-range precision strike operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory directives, and meeting commander's intent.
* Support, evaluate and provide feedback to foreign military partners planning long-range precision strike operations.
* Participate in, provide inputs, and conduct briefs to industry partners regarding mission planning software improvements including current and follow-on planning systems i.e. Joint Mission Planning Software (JMPS), National Open Mission Systems (NOMS), JASSM Unique Planning Component (UPC)
* Coordinate with Theater Operations Commands and Air Operational Centers on all future operational plans
* Design, test, and advise on new planning capabilities such as route combing, target list importing, and route sketching.
* Educate operational units and component staffs on usage of standoff weapons and integrate their use in the operational planning to include foreign military partners.
* Support EBJ operational analysis efforts on survivability related topics and activities.


Qualifications

Qualifications
* Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
* Candidate shall have experience, knowledge and understanding of AFGSC and ACC related weapons and technologies. Knowledge of and relevant experience with the employment of and mission planning for the Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) is highly desired.
* Candidate must have a strong ability to work with minimal oversight and have demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills. Additionally, the candidate must have good analytic skills, be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment, and have strong verbal and written.
* USAF Weapons School, flight test or similar experience is desired.


Educational Requirements:
* Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technical analysis, or a related field.
* Desired: Master's degree in engineering, science, technical analysis, or a related field.


Clearance Requirements:
* Top Secret
* Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access.

Travel
* Up to 25% with overseas and stateside travel may be required.
