Position Summary

Aeon is seeking a Roving Leasing Agent to join our Property Operations team and provide leasing support to Aeon's on-site property management teams throughout the Twin Cities. The Roving Leasing Agent will work in partnership with the Operations team and on-site property teams to meet occupancy goals at the site level and for the organization as a whole. This is a very sales and goal-oriented position, and the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a keen focus on quality in customer service and a firm belief in Aeon's mission. The Roving Leasing Agent reports to the Portfolio Manager.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:




  • Maintain current knowledge of apartment availability, rates and features.
  • Greet prospective residents and discuss their housing needs and desires.
  • Review information packet, floor plans, deposits, etc. and present information regarding community offerings.
  • Follow established policies and procedures in the qualification, screening and acceptance of applicants for residency.
  • Conduct property and apartment tours to include the showing of amenities, models and available apartments.
  • Maintain prospect and leasing data on guest card and in Aeon's leasing software.
  • Follow up within 48 hours of showing with prospective resident if lease was not signed and send appropriate thank you card.
  • Follow the community lease renewal program. Maximize resident renewals.
  • Prepare lease-related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Explain all lease documents to new and existing residents. Ensure all documents are correctly completed prior to resident move-in.
  • Prepare property information packet.
  • Prepare move-in packet.
  • Assist with managing day-to-day operations of the community.
  • Work closely with Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure apartments are ready for move-in and maintained in a satisfactory manner.
  • Complete staff trainings as required.
  • Maintain and safeguard confidential information.
  • Remain flexible, receptive and adaptive to change.
  • Understand and apply basic principles of good housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by Supervisor.



Skills & Qualifications



  • Previous property management, leasing, and/or real estate experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of leasing experience or closely related face-to-face sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to source and attract clients/customers with a demonstrated ability to "close" a sale.
  • Proven ability to work well with people and create a comfortable environment.
  • Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations.
  • Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting practices.
  • Proven ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize work projects.
  • Must be a resourceful, problem solving, relationship-building, seeker of excellence.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
    • Ability to reach above and below shoulder height.
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to conduct property tours and inspections including but not limited to inspecting grounds, hallways, stairwell, and apartment homes.
    • Ability to file documents and enter data for extended periods.
    • Ability to work in varying external weather conditions.





Compensation, Hours & Location

This position has a range of pay between $21-$23 per hour depending on qualifications and skillset. Aeon offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plan, generous paid time off and an employee assistance program.

This is a full-time position, scheduled for 40 hours per week. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours, typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays as needed.

This is an in-person position and will office mostly out of their currently assigned properties. Occasional work at Aeon's Central Office, training facilities and other properties will occur from time to time.
