Job Summary

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact? We're looking for a reliable and motivated full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our family and help keep our workplace in top shape. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our office building and grounds-handling everything from basic plumbing and carpentry to painting, electrical work, and general upkeep. If you take pride in creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment, we'd love to have you on our team.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works under general supervision; relies on experience and general instructions to perform the functions of the job
  • Performs regular, preventative maintenance on the building and grounds
  • Assists in repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and others to maintain the building in good working condition
  • Uses hand tools and other small machinery to perform duties
  • Orders supplies and parts as required
  • Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building
  • Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
  • Maintains work area clean and organized
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Welding / fabrication a plus

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of formal on-the-job training in general maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC system.
  • Knowledge of electrical system; troubleshooting, repair and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
