Job Title: Director of Industrial

Location:Northern Territory (Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia)

Job Summary:The Director of Industrial will oversee the industrial sales operations within the northern territory, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. This role involves managing and leading a team to drive sales growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. The Director of Industrial will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and enhancing profitability through effective leadership and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Leadership and Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Industrial Account Managers.
    • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.


  • Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
    • Oversee the development of customer pricing strategies to enhance profitability.


  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industrial, government, institutional, and OEM customers.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
    • Coordinate joint calls with suppliers and customers to drive sales initiatives.


  • Market Analysis and Reporting:

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
    • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
    • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.


  • Training and Development:

    • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for the sales team.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the team's continuous improvement.


  • Operational Excellence:

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Optimize sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Attend trade shows, industry meetings, and training sessions as required.





Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in industrial sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of electrical/lighting supplies, automation and control products,and the industrial market.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel within the northern territory as needed.
