Warfighter SME

MTSI is seeking a Warfighter Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical advice and support services on a suite of advanced weapon system, sensor, and computer processing-related technologies and programs. This position will be Wright Patterson AFB-based & require travel up to 30%, as required by the Government. The Warfighter SME position requires collecting data, providing analysis, and coordinating Warfighter participation at test and experimentation events.

This requires the individual to participate in planning and execution of test and experimentation activities to include traveling to necessary sites, coordinating participation across various organizations within the Air Force and Space Force and supporting the design of experiments for systems under development and analysis.

* Interact daily with Air Force program managers and aerospace industry subject matter experts to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations.
* Interact daily with the operational community to assist in requirements definition, event planning and reporting, and capability integration.
* Provide support for presentations and other office documentation.
* Work on multiple networks across various classification levels, adhering to all security policies, procedures, and processes.
* Assist with designing experiments to inform future acquisition strategies and plans.

* 20+ years experience in Knowledge of DoD and/or US Air Force (USAF) requirements' development, and other operational and decision-making process activities.
* Recent DoD and/or USAF Special Access Programs' experience. SAP eligible.
* Ability to analyze threats and technologies from an operational perspective and apply logic and a rational approach to complex problems that require unique solutions.
* Good organizational & coordination skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* A general situational awareness of USAF and joint assets.
* Proficiency in military analysis and operations and familiarity with Air Force engineering processes/databases.
* Prior experience with AWACS, JSTARS, CRC, TACP, and/or AOC.
* Familiarity with ACC tactical C2 operational concepts.
* Must have a demonstrated ability to use creativity, foresight, & mature judgment in anticipating & solving problems; apply competency in evolving, complicated situations.
* Must have knowledge of military platforms, systems, and operations.
* Must have knowledge of overall Air Force structure, directives, and policies.
* Must be a team player and be able to work within all levels of a project team.
* Active-Duty Military experience highly desired in a BMD system and/or C2 environment.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree with strong operational background and experience with joint warfighting and planning processes.
* Master's degree with strong operational background and experience with joint warfighting and planning processes. (Highly Desired)

Security Clearance Level Required: Top Secret
