Name of Employer: The Options Clearing Corporation Job Title: Associate Principal, Software Engineering: DevOps Location: 9111 Cypress Waters Blvd., Suite 400, Dallas, TX 75019 Duties: Provide subject matter expertise for implementation and ongoing support of Middleware integration technologies in production and non-production environments. Use subject matter expertise with products to advise on design and assist with development of applications using these tools. Design, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins and GitHub, while automating workflows with Bash, Python, and Groovy scripts to streamline deployment processes and enhance efficiency. Configure and maintain containerized applications using Amazon ECS and EKS ensuring scalable and efficient deployment of microservices. Configure production, development and testing environments and ensure the availability of these application services. Design disaster recovery solutions for middleware technologies to comply with business continuity objectives. Assist production support and development staff in debugging middleware application defects. Install, configure and maintain third party software components classified as middleware on multiple operating system platforms. Write complex automation scripts using automation tools, such as Jenkins and Ansible. Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, leveraging HCL and YAML to define infrastructure as code and playbook tasks, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reliability across environments. Provide performance tuning of components and services. Resolve configuration related problems. Resolve complex support issues in both production and non-production environments. Create procedural and troubleshooting documentation related to middleware products. Implement security controls such as vulnerability assessment and security incident management using Splunk, ensure security and compliance of systems using role-based access control (RBAC) in Jenkins, and secret management with HashiCorp Vault. Advise on industry best practices as it relates to new product selection. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted.
