Responsibilities
The Program Management Support position will provide outstanding, direct support to a Department of Defense (DoD) customer executing research, engineering, prototyping, development and test. They will support the customer Program Director and Acquisition Program Managers by providing oversight, planning and reporting of current and future projects being explored and executed. This position will be located in Crystal City, Virginia.
- Assisting in the oversight of a variety of contracted efforts
- Developing, producing, and managing acquisition program artifacts
- Reviewing, assessing and providing feedback on contractor provided artifacts
- Organizing program acquisition strategies, concept plans, budget inputs
- Interfacing with DoD and Service staffing processes to support acquisition objectives
- Assisting in the management and integration of program resources, and advising on DoD fiscal planning processes
- Advising on and providing input to DoD and service-level policy initiatives especially as they relate to acquisition offices
- Advocating for office equities at senior DoD steering committees
- Routinely collaborate with interagency partners across the whole of government
- Provide oral and written briefings to senior DoD leadership, create written reports detailing status and findings, and make recommendations to DoD customers and external partners
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
15+ years of Program Management (PM) and/or Program Element Monitor (PEM) experience Experience with a major acquisition program and/or acquisition policy/processes Experience with DoD budgeting & finance processes (POM, FDYP, ect.) Experience with developing and coordinating staff packages and navigating staffing processes At least 5 years working in a SAP or SCI environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the Department of Defense Acquisition process, contracting, program planning and execution
Education Requirements:
- BS Degree Required/ MS Degree Desired
