Requirements
The role of the Billing Clerk supports the operations of an organization's accounting department, primarily processing and managing invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing, and assist in resolving discrepancies between invoices and payments. They also handle tasks like verifying and reconciling invoices, generating reports, and communicating with clients and internal departments. GENERAL DUTIES:
- Review sales order in ERP system to ensure matching customer Purchase Orders prior to processing
- Communicate with operations, sales, and customer service departments to correct errors before invoices are sent to customers
- Process sales orders once all information has been reviewed for accuracy
- Pick Sales order when ready to ship in ERP system
- Invoice sales orders
- At month-end ensure all sales orders with current shipping date have been processed
- Interface with internal customers daily and support initiatives as assigned by manager
- And other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree from an accredited university or a Accounting Certification from a recognized professional organization; previous accounting or similar experience may be substituted.
- A broad understanding of accounting processes with 3 years of related experience and training.
- Prior experience with an aerospace or automotive manufacturing company preferred.
- Proficient in the use of ERP/MRP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office products and knowledge of software packages.
- Sustained dependable attendance.
- Position will require frequent communication with internal and external parties via email, phone and in-person.
- Organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task and think creatively; efficient and accurate working within deadlines
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex business documents
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Position located in an office environment.
- Occasional business-related travel, valid driver's license.
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
