What you'll do:

The HRMS Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that day-to-day employee HR transactional activities are keyed accurately, promptly, and following the documented service level and audit control policies. Candidate must have the ability to review, analyze, and understand the transaction prior to data entry. Must have an understanding of HR processes and systems, preferably PeopleSoft HCM. The person in this role helps identify areas of opportunity to improve existing processes, which, in turn, improves data management and efficiency.

Essential Functions:




  • Data entry/maintenance of HR data, benefit input forms, and other system input documents. Ensures the documents are accurate and complete, appropriately dated, and signed. Once entered, ensure that documents are checked and filed.



  • Assist with day-to-day customer service and problem resolution. Identifies special situations, knowing when to elevate to management.



  • Coordinates and promptly responds to requests from Corporate and Division HR Administrators and other personnel.



  • Coordinate processing, review, and distribution of weekly reporting to appropriate Corporate and Division personnel.



  • Maintain a regular audit schedule to review the integrity of data in our systems by running internal queries and analyzing and correcting report results.



  • Assist with the coordination of special events such as new acquisitions, union contract revisions, benefits changes, salary step increases, etc.



  • Potential responsibility for daily/weekly Benefits Administrative functions, which include, but are not limited to, Ben Admin, Benefits Billing, COBRA, and vendor file eligibility reviews. Also, assist as needed with Annual Open Enrollment setup, processing, and reviews.



  • Develop and maintain HRMS procedure and training documentation.




Qualifications

Skills you will need:




  • B.S. Degree preferred or the equivalent of two or more years of experience with employee HR and Benefits systems and data.



  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM Systems is strongly preferred



  • Must retain knowledge and understanding of company policies and benefit plans



  • Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment



  • Must possess a positive, service oriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues



  • Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills



  • Must demonstrate experience/maturity when handling confidential and sensitive information



  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel, as well as ability to learn and use other desktop software and database applications as needed
