Job Description:

This temporary position in the laboratory of Dr. Michele Johnson will focus on preparing publication-quality micrographs of the green anole (Anolis carolinensis) lizard brain. The output of this work will produce an atlas of
the lizard brain, to be published in the peer-reviewed scientific literature.
  • Identify high-quality lizard brain cryosections for micro-photography.
  • Record high-quality, scaled photographs of a complete lizard brain, approximately every 40-80um.
  • Identify and label all major brain regions in each micrograph.
  • Compile detailed notes on each step of the research process, and write a summary of methodology for publication.
