Sr. Learning & Development Program Manager

Overview:

Responsible in fostering professional growth and leadership excellence across all levels of the firm. Leverages deep coaching expertise, consultation experience, facilitation skills, and understanding of adult learning principles to design, deliver, and implement targeted and impactful development programs to teams. Partners with various levels of leadership, architects, and individual contributors to unlock their full potential, enhance team effectiveness, and drive superior business outcomes. Possesses strong leadership and communication skills, a flexible attitude, ability to solve problems creatively and foster and manage effective internal client relationships. Endorses the firm's values by personally influencing resources, innovation and communication.

Responsibilities:

Position:

  • Provides professional development and executive-level coaching to employees across various positions, from architects to leaders at all levels, focusing on leadership development, performance enhancement, career progression, and navigating complex workplace challenges
  • Designs and delivers professional development programs for internal facilitators, including comprehensive instructor/facilitator training to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences
  • Partners with leadership to conduct organizational health analyses, identify development needs aligned with strategic objectives, and design and execute tailored training and coaching programs to meet company, department, and team goals
  • Designs and facilitates engaging and impactful customized workgroup training programs for all levels of leadership and employees, enhancing leadership skills, team effectiveness, and overall organizational performance
  • Develops and deploys audience-centric learning materials, leveraging adult learning principles and incorporating various modalities to maximize knowledge retention and practical applications
  • Develops and presents strategic recommendations to Leadership, aligning talent development strategies with business objectives and activating these strategies with architects and leaders
  • Coaches and supports the HR department on leadership development processes related to Lean, overall process improvement, and career development initiatives
  • Manages change management engagements across multiple locations, collaborating with senior management to develop new objectives, training courses, and curricula to improve employee morale and performance during organizational transitions

Financial:

  • Oversees training tool effectiveness and its financial impact
  • Contributes to cost savings by optimizing training delivery methods and reducing reliance on external vendors
  • Develops training programs that directly support key business objectives, leading to measurable improvements in productivity and profitability
  • Evaluates the ROI of training and coaching initiatives to demonstrate their financial impact on organizational performance
  • Negotiates favorable contracts with external vendors for learning resources and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Contributes to increased employee retention through effective development programs, reducing the costs associated with turnover
  • Collaborates in and may be responsible for delivering a project on defined budget requirements

Revenue or Opportunity Generation

  • Delivers training solutions to support a more productive and knowledgeable workforce to help the firm stay competitive in business
  • Assists in identifying opportunities to lead with knowledge in the architectural industry
  • Develops training for public consumption in the architectural industry
  • Identifies, maintains and cultivates essential relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive experience, in professional development, coaching, facilitation, and leadership development within a corporate environment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • ICF Certified Coach (ACC, PCC, or MCC)
  • Gallup Certified Strengths Coach
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or higher
  • DiSC, MBTI, or similar Certified Facilitator preferred
  • Crucial Conversations Certified Facilitator preferred
  • SLII Certified Facilitator preferred
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other talent development technologies preferred
  • Experience managing change management engagements and supporting employees and leadership through organizational transitions
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to influence outcomes and measure the impact of development initiatives
  • Experience partnering with leadership to conduct organizational health analyses and design tailored training and coaching programs
  • Experience implementing Lean Process Improvement methodologies
  • Proven track record of delivering superior results through strategic development, leadership coaching, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Strong competencies in developing and maintaining effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams effectively
  • Strong operational experience enhancing business consultation and leadership development
  • Extensive experience delivering executive-level coaching to operational and business leaders, driving organizational performance across all tiers
  • Proven ability to implement strategic human resource development initiatives, leveraging career assessments, feedback, and individualized development pathways
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and facilitating customized intact workgroup training programs
  • Deep understanding and practical application of ICF coaching methodologies and strengths-based coaching approaches (e.g., Clifton Strengths)
  • Excellent knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Proven ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, project leads, executive leadership, and vendors
  • Strong project management skills, including defining scope, budget, and schedules, and leading project meetings and presentations to executive leadership
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to evaluate training initiatives and identify areas for improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
  • Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions with pragmatic, practical business acumen
