Join our team as a Production Supervisor!
Weekend Night Shift: Scheduled hours are Thurs: 12am-6am Fri-Sun: 6pm-6am
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production line to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating schedules, ensuring safety policies are met, and maintaining high-quality production standards. The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in meeting production goals and deadlines, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the overall objectives of the company.

What you will do
  • Plans and supervises the daily activities in manufacturing area for a shift
  • Find out training needs: look for what training our employees need to do their job well and safely
  • Ensures assigned staff are qualified and appropriately trained for assigned work
  • Assures production output supports the production schedule
  • Assures production output meets all applicable quality requirements
  • Evaluates employee performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Responsible for evaluating employee performance and opportunities for improvement, as well as all disciplinary actions up and including termination.
  • Writes and delivers annual, mid year, and 90 day performance evaluations.
  • Writes and delivers quarterly goal evalustions.
  • Plans and approves overtime and vacation requests
  • Monitors manufacturing area supplies and equipment and initiates purchasing requests as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement
  • Supports company policies and procedures in the area of plant safety and housekeeping.
  • Promotes actions consistent with professional and ethical behavior
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department
  • Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving weekly timecards
What it takes
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
  • Able to be licensed to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane hoist, etc.)
  • Able to use a computer and calculator. Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic.
  • Must be proficient with using computers and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance
Bonus to have
  • * High School Diploma/equivalent required
  • * 2 years of manufacturing experience in a leadership position

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel and must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Work Environment:
Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
