Meet the Team The Chief of Staff to the SVP of Business Development, Pricing, Strategy and Planning will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic initiatives and operational excellence of Cisco's Business Development, Pricing, Strategy and Planning team. This team is the Cisco Product organization's centralized support for business development, merger & acquisition planning, pricing, GTM strategy & execution, and employee engagement. Additionally, this team supports the Chief Product Officer's cadences and planning. Responsibilities and outputs from the Business Development, Pricing, Strategy and Planning organization include: * Business Development & Technology Partnerships o Partners with Product owners and GMs to identify and execute partnerships and partner initiatives needed to achieve their financial plan o Partners with Product owners to define playbook for operationalizing product planning for partner initiatives o Partners with GMs and Product owners to outline and plan for Service Provider partnership strategies across the portfolio, including executive-level engagement model o Partners with global partner organization (GPRS) to define playbook for activating and scaling Cisco's go-to-market o Partners with GMs to define and execute strategic investments across the product portfolio * M&A Planning - Diligence & Integration o Programmatic owner of M&A integration across all cross-functional groups o Drives inspection and prep for all acquisition milestone and commit reviews * Pricing Strategy & Execution o Partner with Product owners to share trends, data, and research on pricing, competitive approaches, discounting themes, etc. o Surfaces opportunities to approach pricing and discounting in a domain (this team does not drive strategy for product-specific pricing and design; Product Mgmt owns this). o Defines playbook for operationalizing pricing strategy o Executes and operationalizes pricing strategy, working across all cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., crafts requirements documentation, oversees PID creation, prioritizes IT workloads, enables inclusion in buying programs, ensures provisioning is completed, represents Product requirements are executed with enterprise systems teams) * GTM Strategy & Execution o Operationalize and Prioritize Product Related CRM scope across Meraki, TE and S&C. Represent the interests of the Product team on strategic projects/programs (e.g., Global Renewals Policy, iACV and Customer Definition) o In partnership with product and cross-functional teams, create unified strategy and frameworks for key RTMs (MSP/SP, Cloud Marketplace, eCommerce) o Identify and resolve gaps and strategic challenges around performance, e.g., sales compensation/attainment challenges & recommendations to align it with GTM/sales priorities; Underperforming products' GTM challenges identification/ remediation, etc. o Build and drive programs for GTM Execution with product and cross-functional leadership (e.g., top deals, at-risk renewals, pipeline reviews, at-risk adoption, new product execution, channel) * Employee Engagement o Drive all internal communications and employee engagement programs on behalf of CPO (does not Cisco employee engagement forums e, g., Cisco Beat or GM employee engagement forums, e.g., Security All Hands) o Drives all employee engagement events in coordination with other teams (Activate, Pinnacle Awards, etc.) * Chief Product Office Cadences and Planning o Drive planning and review cadences for CPO, e.g., LRSP, Annual Planning, Pre-Earnings Reviews, QBO deep dives, Product Team Offsites (does not drive GM planning and review cadences, i.e., Security QBO) o Drive Cross-arch product strategy discussions and prep o Drives program management of deliverables for the Office of the CEO and Board The Chief of Staff will directly support the SVP in executing these objectives, maintaining team cadence and ensuring all deliverables and outcomes are met. Key Responsibilities: * Drive operational excellence for Business Development, Pricing, M&A, and Strategy & Planning team by establishing an operational cadence, including annual, quarterly, and weekly objectives, key results, and metrics, as well as driving processes for reporting, risk mitigation, and taking corrective measures. * Ensure team interlock with key stakeholders in Product, CX, Sales, IT/OPs, Finance and People teams across Cisco. * Develop presentations and other content supporting Business Development, Pricing, M&A, and Strategy & Planning team presentations for customers, partners, events, the ELT, and the board. * Ensure the team and SVP are inserted in the right forums and processes to ensure smooth outcomes. * Manage special projects and initiatives as directed by the SVP, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope, including preparation for external meetings as well as internal engagements. * Represent the SVP when unable to attend meetings so that the 'voice' of the SVP is heard. * Assist in building a culture for the Business Development, Pricing, Strategy and Planning team, assist in running meetings cadences, offsites, talent calendar, team events, planning and review sessions. * Partner with the SVP, team leaders and Finance to ensure the budget is managed effectively and the needs of the organization are met. * Provide insights and business intelligence. Minimum Qualifications * Demonstrated track record of leading large, complex projects and driving cross-functional alignment in a high-tech environment. * Demonstrated understanding of Cisco's portfolio of products and services, with the ability to articulate the value proposition and competitive differentiation. * Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
