GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Entry-Level CAD Technician will focus on creating production drawings, revising small-scale erection drawings, and coordinating projects for the fabrication and installation of precast concrete products. This role will also assist the department in managing internal schedules to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Starting pay is $21.00-$23.00 an hour based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level CAD Technician whose role it will be to ensure the successful transfer of project data from the Revit Model to Concrete Vision, it is paramount to update the erection drawings as needed to fully align with project specifications. By creating or modifying individual pour sheets for Production, they will streamline the manufacturing of critical components. They will vigilantly monitor project progress, ensuring deadlines established by the Design & Engineering Team are met while adhering to departmental standards and protocols. Additionally, proactively completing additional tasks that will contribute significantly to our overall success.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree in drafting preferred
  • Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient problem-solving skills
  • Fundamental understanding of construction practices and basic math skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment
  • Visual acuity and ability to read small print
  • Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment
  • Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed
