As an Infection Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Facilitating and coordinating the infection surveillance, prevention, and control program, promoting safe, effective infection control practices, and for assuring facility infection control compliance with regulating agencies.
• Assisting with patient safety and risk management activities, performing investigational reviews, collecting performance improvement data, and reviewing clinical trial studies.
• Partnering and collaborating, writing and presenting reports. You will also remain current on a variety of best practices and guidelines.

Experience/Specialized Skills:

Minimum 3 years of acute care/infection control experience and/or data collection and performance improvement/risk management experience.

Must have experience with adult education, basic statistics and epidemiological principles.

Required Certification/Registration:

Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or attends a basic infection control training course

CA RN license, other relevant license, for non nurses or equivalent experience.

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

Bachelor's degree, nursing or biological sciences or equivalent experience.

Infection control experience in an acute care setting.
