Could you be the full-time onsite Reliability Engineer in Los Angeles, CA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your reliability engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing fleet reliability and maintenance optimization, driving improvements in fleet availability, performance, and safety. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Operations & Maintenance Managers, engineering teams, and performance analysts), undertake engineering investigations of rail vehicles and associated equipment, and develop standardized KPIs to evaluate performance and recommend improvements-and much more.

We'll look to you for:




  • Implementing new concepts and proven tools to deliver higher reliability and performance,



  • Developing and delivering solutions to improve fleet availability and performance of rail vehicles,



  • Ensuring all opportunities for improved reliability, lower operating costs, asset availability, fleet safety, and product quality are recognized,



  • Undertaking engineering investigations of rail vehicles, associated equipment, and components, focusing on design, maintenance, materials, and training,



  • Preparing consolidated reports detailing actions to achieve higher vehicle reliability and improved asset utilization,



  • Supporting the engineering needs of the business in collaboration with Operations & Maintenance Managers,



  • Managing and executing complex reliability projects using reliability tools such as RCM, FMECA, Fault Tree, and Reliability Predictions.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, or a related field,



  • Experience or understanding of reliability processes, principles, and tools such as RCM, FMECA, Fault Tree, and Reliability Predictions,



  • Knowledge of the rail sector and transportation equipment (preferred),



  • Familiarity with maintenance optimization practices and principles,



  • Experience in developing and introducing standardized engineering methods and procedures,



  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships while collaborating effectively across teams,



  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Base salary range: $75,000 - $100,000
