Position Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Human Resources Manager to lead all HR-related functions for the Anesthesia Foundation. This role will act as a key resource for Physicians and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, and leave administration. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in employee benefits, leave management, and regulatory compliance, along with a strong commitment to employee service and process improvement.

This is a hybrid role with an onsite requirement of 3 days each week.

Key Responsibilities

Leave Administration:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves, including FMLA, short- and long-term disability, workers' compensation, and personal leaves of absence
  • Coordinate return-to-work processes with managers and employees, ensuring proper documentation and accommodations are in place
  • Maintain consistent, clear communication with employees throughout their leave period
  • Ensure all records are accurate, confidential, and compliant with HIPAA and internal policies

Benefits Support & Employee Liaison

  • Serve as the internal expert on health, life, disability, pension, and supplemental retirement plans (ERISA-governed)
  • Support annual open enrollment and assist employees with benefit-related questions and mid-year changes
  • Act as the point of contact with external benefit providers to address employee concerns and ensure seamless plan administration
  • Educate employees on eligibility, plan coverage, and changes related to hiring, termination, or retirement
  • Oversee the administration of paid time off policies

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including FMLA, ADA, ERISA, and COBRA
  • Develop and maintain internal procedures, forms, and tools to optimize leave and benefits processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and Legal teams to support compliant and efficient operations

Qualifications:

  • BA degree required; minimum 10 years of progressively responsible HR and/or business management experience
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong grasp of employment laws (federal and state) and HR best practices
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to drive operational efficiency through new initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, clinical staff, and vendors
  • Comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR technologies
