The FCAT Wellbeing, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist position is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of employees. This position will be responsible for implementation of safety standards at FCAT Detroit, FCAT Toledo, FCAT Windsor and ATS. (Windsor). In addition, this position serves as the key advisor to FCAT management on the implementation and management of health and safety initiatives designed to promote and achieve Stellantis Production Way (SPW). The WHS FCAT Manager will report to the WHS Manager of Non-Manufacturing.

The job responsibilities include, and are not limited to the following:



  • Oversee root cause analysis of safety and environmental incidents/accidents and facilitate implementation of corrective action measures. Accident investigations may require highway, garage and vehicle damage examinations.
  • Interaction with office of General Council, and/or Insurance providers to resolve cases is required.
  • Direct and implement wellbeing, health and safety processes designed to improve key performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance to federal, state, provincial and local regulations, and Corporate Policies and Procedures including OHSA and DOT
  • Support the implementation of the Wellbeing, Health and Safety Domain under SPW
  • Direct and implement standardized WHS assessments and programs to address needed training
  • Audit WHS processes and provide necessary follow up to ensure compliance
  • Lead implementation/integration of ergonomic processes
  • Manage the timely submission of documentation, reports, permit applications, inventories and surveys to appropriate government and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate communication of WHS regulatory activity with plant and corporate leadership
  • Support all shifts and work additional hours as required

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Science or related field
  • 2 + years Safety or Engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding and application of federal, state, provincial and local environmental and safety regulations and requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication, excellent presentation skills
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and /or other software applications
