Custodian I

Summary of the role

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepare facilities for daily activities including: unlocking doors, turn on and off lights as necessary.

* Clean CE Rooms and ancillary manufacturing areas prior to daily production activities.

* Daily wipe down of frequently used surfaces and areas, such as door knobs, restroom stall doors, stair railings, counters, etc.

* Clean offices, breakroom, meeting rooms, restrooms, and kitchens in all buildings. Clean the Guest House as needed.

* Dust mop all manufacturing areas, QA lab, S/R dock and Warehouse daily.

* Sweep all outside areas as needed including porches, sidewalks, tunnels, dock and dumpster areas.

* Mop tunnels and porches; Strip and wax plant floors.

* Empty trash cans and remove all trash from buildings daily.

* Distribute interoffice mail and supplies throughout all buildings.

* Clean up any miscellaneous spills following safety incidents as necessary.

* Assist with setup and cleanup duties for onsite luncheons.

* Blow off roads with leaf blower, pick up limbs and trash on grounds and weed the flower beds as needed.

* Run offsite errands and any other miscellaneous duties as requested by the Facilities Supervisor.

* Adhere to all Atrion policies including safety, attendance, and personal hygiene requirements per the Atrion Employee Handbook.

* Neat and presentable appearance.

* Ability to communicate effectively.

* Confidentiality & discretion required during the performance of job duties.

Education:

* High School Diploma or GED.

* One to two years' of related experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

Up to 2/3 of time is spent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms. 2/3 and more of time is spent lifting up to 10 pounds. Up to 1/3 of time may be spent lifting 10 to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment described here is representative of that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in multiple areas throughout the entire Atrion Medical campus. The noise level will vary from quiet to loud as the employee carries out the duties of the position.
