Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Global Client Strategy & Operations supports a set of key strategy & operations activities. The Global Client Team is responsible for increasing Visa's strategic value to the clients, growing client and Visa revenue, and strengthening executive relationships by enabling strategic growth opportunities through Visa's Global Account Executives. The incumbent will play a supporting role in areas such as strategy, analysis and planning, presentation content development and storytelling, strategic communications, program and project management, and other business operations activities in close partnership with the Director of Global Client Strategy, Global Client Leadership Team, and various leaders across Visa business functions (e.g. Finance, Risk, Product, Marketing, and more).

The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious strategic thinker with exceptional project/program management skills paired with excellent communications and storytelling skills to develop presentations and strategic communications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead program management initiatives in partnership with Client Services. This will involve working with our global account teams, global CSMs, and partners in CS to prioritize and execute on a set of initiatives to bring white glove service to life with our clients and free up capacity with sellers

  • Lead market entry/expansion analysis and support activities

  • Leads some strategic communications and supports others by writing and editing content. Key example of this type of work would be the Global Clients Impact materials where we tell our story and contribution to the regions and markets and this role would be responsible for the program management around ensuring updated narratives and data (done biannually).

  • Revenue Acceleration is Global Clients' approach to Visa 2030. You'll support this initiative through PMO support, development of sales materials (case studies, set plays, etc) and other content, data analysis and opportunity sizing support, and operating model support and training

  • Support Global Client and cross-functional partner operating model development and refinement as needed

  • Lead mandate analysis and program management to bring more structure and support to a global narrative given broad impact to the global clients segment

  • Lead client onboarding/offboarding activities as needed

  • Support for key forums & meetings (e.g. town halls, team meetings, business reviews, quarterly meetings with key partners) by developing presentation content

  • Fractional support as needed for account team operational and PMO initiatives

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Experience in payments or Fintech
  • Experience in Operations, Client Accounts, or Strategy strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and deliver under tight deadlines/timeframes and thrives in pressurized business situations (strong project and/or program management experience)
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and adept at multi-tasking and adapting to evolving priorities
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word with a desire to learn about and utilize other online tools and platforms (e.g. reporting tools)
  • Ability to navigate a globally matrixed environment successfully, with evidence of ability to influence outcomes across functions of the organization
  • Inherently excited about building new processes, testing & evaluating operating models, continuous improvement, and transforming hearts & minds while working with passionate colleagues at the global payments industry leader
  • Executive presence with superb presentation skills, including strong oral, storytelling, and writing capabilities
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 149,900.00 to 217,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
