About you

You are great with numbers AND people. As a trusted and reliable member of our team, you bring a positive, customer service approach that benefits our clients and everyone you work with. You love diving deep into research and financial analysis to provide solutions and proposals to clients. You are passionate about commercial real estate and looking for an opportunity to expand your knowledge in the industry.

As an Analyst you will support a high-performance retail investment sales team that focuses on the sale of shopping centers, unanchored strip centers and single-tenant net lease properties nationally. You will have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of a transaction, including underwriting, market research, property tours, and preparation of offering memorandums, marketing and offer negotiation, closing and client meetings / events.

What Success Looks Like:

  • You will prepare investment sales advisory packages and submissions for commercial real estate transactions, including research, financial cash flow modeling and composition of executive summaries.
    * You will be responsible for complex financial modeling of commercial real estate transactions and utilizing market data / comps to correctly underwrite a transaction.
    * You will manage the due diligence process and be the driving force in working through the marketing and closing processes for each transaction, and be in constant communication with the Broker, the market, and the Client.
    * You are tech savvy and passionate about reviewing real estate documents (leases, tenant expense billings, operating agreements, and other property operation documents) to determine if any issues exist.
    * You are passionate about building your client network within the industry through meetings, events, and involvement in real estate trade organizations.
    * You excel in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to deliver results to the highest accuracy in terms of financial analysis

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics or Engineering related area.

  • 1-2 years of experience in real estate, capital markets or financial analysis environment preferred (quality internship experience will be considered)

  • Passion for real estate, attention to detail, accuracy and providing exceptional client service.

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and time management skills to prioritize deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal quantitative, writing, and communication skills; able to interface with top level executives.

  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Experience developing cash flow models and in-depth financial analysis

Bonus skills and experience:

  • Experience in Argus, Salesforce (CRM), Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator), a plus

  • Experience with CoStar & Real Capital Analytics, a plus
