About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Applications Development Manager to lead our development teams across two product lines. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in modern development frameworks, Agile methodologies, and Microsoft technologies to deliver high-quality digital platforms, websites, and applications that leverage Microsoft core components. Platforms to be supported include an A.I. product line (utilizing Microsoft Azure AI and OpenAI), and a browser portal application experience.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of full-time senior and junior developers onshore and offshore, remote
  • Oversee the development lifecycle for two distinct product lines
  • Implement and optimize SCRUM and Agile methodologies for efficient product delivery
  • Drive technical architecture decisions for applications utilizing Angular, React, and C#
  • Manage integration of Microsoft technologies including Azure, Azure AI, and Microsoft Teams; and Open AI / related LLM technologies that are core to our A.I. product line
  • Lead design sprints and facilitate team collaboration for optimal performance
  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and documentation requirements
  • Evaluate team performance and provide actionable feedback and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business goals
  • Present technical solutions and progress reports to executive leadership
  • Report directly to the Vice President of Business Innovation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12-18 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years in a team lead / development management role
  • Proven expertise in SCRUM and Agile development methodologies; certifications
  • Advanced Development knowledge of Angular, React, and C# development frameworks
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Azure AI, and Microsoft Teams
  • Development Experience / API and integration with OpenAI, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, and Anthropic Claude
  • Demonstrated success managing both onshore and offshore development teams
  • Strong understanding of web and application architecture principles
  • Experience leading design sprints and performance optimization initiatives
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in Agile methodologies and Microsoft technologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • College Degree or equivalent
  • 6 years related experience
  • Expert technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of industry regulations
  • Ability to lead and coordinate the team activities of others
  • Ability to formulate, document and recommend new policies and procedures
  • Able to work in and lead a team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $150,000- $175,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
