Staff Accountant - Sales Processing

This position is responsible for accurately accounting for all units sold in Titan's North American footprint and is a support resource for the Titan Shared Resource Center (SRC) and store locations.

Process all equipment sales within Titan's footprint according to revenue recognition criteria and SOX Controls
• Compare the estimated sales costs to what has been posted in the system and research any discrepancies
• Review all equipment payment receipts (cash, contracts, etc.) for completeness and accuracy and research any difference before processing
• Merge outstanding equipment AR, checking for and researching any differences
• Perform inventory valuation calculations
• Review weekly inventory report for completeness and accuracy
• Perform monthly/quarterly estimates and accrual entries
• General Ledger account reconciliations as assigned
• Be an advocate of change to improve efficiency and productivity in the department.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required:

• 2 + years equivalent work related and/or related military experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent organizational skills
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
• Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently
• Ability to work with diverse people/personalities
• Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
• Ability to do same day local travel up to 5% of the time and work flexible hours

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Experience with JDE or similar large-scale computer systems
