Sechan Electronics is a 100% Employee Owned organization that provides products and services to the aerospace and defense industry. The Receiving Inspector I inspects basic commercial off the shelf (COTS) and Mil-Spec components procured by the company to ensure the material meets the requirements defined by purchase orders, drawings, and industry standards. This individual ensures that compliant materials are supplied to the manufacturing department.
Position Responsibilities:
* Performs visual and mechanical inspections of basic COTS and Mil-Spec components and materials including electronic components or hardware received at the company for compliance to industry standards, military specifications and customer drawings. Utilizes microscopes, test equipment, and standard measuring equipment to perform inspections.
* Verifies and properly stores all required paperwork including certifications, test data, etc. as listed on the purchase order. This includes entry of documentation into the ERP system.
* Works with Quality Engineers and Purchasing to disposition and process non-conforming material.
* Assigns shelf life by dating stickers and/or labels to incoming chemicals and other age sensitive materials.
* Assists in keeping the Inspection Department compliant with all ISO/AS9102 requirements on a continuing basis.
* Responsible for the general order and upkeep of workstations and the Receiving Inspection work area.
* Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.
Skills & Abilities:
* Basic knowledge of technical drawings with ability to read and understand markings and symbols.
* Basic understanding of standard measuring equipment.
* Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities.
* Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows
* Ability to work in a team environment
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Quality preferred
* DOD experience a plus but not necessarily required.
* Ability to pass vision acuity exam per J-STD-001 and NASA Standards
* Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Work Environment:
* Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.
* 9/80 work schedule.
* Office located in Lititz, PA.
