Position Title: General Laborer
Wage: $21.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 4:30am - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 5:30am - 11:00am (Friday) Feeling underpaid or undervalued? This could be the position that you deserve! The ideal candidate will be skilled in material handling, machine support, quality inspections, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace. A proactive problem solver who ensures smooth workflow and high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment! General Laborer Responsibilities: - Prepare work center to run according to schedule and ensure production goals and standards are met - Provide support to machine operators and line leads to ensure workflow supports production goals and standards - Move material within or to/from workstations to meet operational needs - Scan work orders and complete paperwork as On-the-Job (OTJ) training requires within a reasonable timeframe - Follow proper processes for performing inspections, ensuring accuracy, and allowing for continuous monitoring for defects - Ensure any dust, dirt, excess glue, or other substances are removed from the product and prepared for shipment to the customer - Assist with material handling to provide continuous production at each work center and meet operational needs - Make recommendations through specified means of communication that support a lean and efficient manufacturing environment - Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout scheduled shift as well as perform cleaning duties at designated times to contribute to a safe environment - Contribute to team effort by working as areas directed and performing other duties as assigned and needed Requirements for General Laborer: - Some High School education, preferably at 10th grade level - Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred - Experience in air handling equipment preferred - Strong verbal communication skills - Able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment - Able to work independently and at an appropriate pace to meet productivity goals - Good problem-solving skills - Able to stand for duration of shift - Able to regularly lift 30-50lbs - Able to bend, twist, and turn regularly QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
