Job Overview

The Product Management team is focused on delivering a best-in-class experience for our customers through new and enhanced features. The Assistant Product Manager defines the most critical user problems to solve, the impact on our business, and a vision for how we can leverage technology to solve those problems. Additionally, the Assistant Product Manager helps build a value-based incremental delivery approach that allows us to maximize the return on our invested capital.

Our Assistant Product Managers leverage their curiosity and passion for building great products by partnering with tech, analytics, UX, and functional/business SMEs in an Agile & Lean product delivery environment throughout the entire product lifecycle. Ideal candidates will be curious, have strong critical thinking / problem solving abilities, and be effective communicators.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Product Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Drive user-centered ideation, discovery, definition, and delivery

    • Partner with UX Research to identify critical problems to solve, expectations, and behaviors
    • Conduct business stakeholder interviews to understand operational complexities, strategic objectives and plans, impacts, and considerations
    • Analyze quant & qual data (internal and external) to aid in prioritization, including competitors and industry trends
    • Form partnership with software engineers to evaluate technical constraints, complexities, & capabilities
    • Execute product roadmap to drive iterative value
    • Socialize product roadmap with business & technology stakeholders
    • Identify use cases, map customer journeys, and develop hypotheses
    • Monitor KPIs, engagement & operational metrics for each slice of scope

  • Stakeholder management

    • Interview partners, facilitate working groups, one to one discussion, group showcase forums, etc. - with a goal of uncovering operational and organizational impacts
    • Consider business process impacts & dependencies. Work with the appropriate partners to ready the business for the product.

  • Agile product delivery

    • Partner with Iteration Manager, Tech Lead, QA, and engineers to continuously improve and maximize output of delivery team
    • Effectively build & prioritize user stories for each iterative delivery - partnering with UX, tech, QA, business SMEs to deliver each
    • Maintain outcome focus by adjusting product roadmap, release strategy, & scope priorities based on realities of an agile environment

  • Product Hind sighting

    • Partner with product analytics team to develop & implement test strategy to validate key hypotheses
    • Measures impact of product post-launch leading to sound recommendations for continued investment or pivot.

  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality and perform other duties as assigned.


Skills You Will Need



  • Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business
  • Able to juggle multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members
  • Ability and desire to take product/project ownership
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs


Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • 0-3 years direct product management experience
