The Loudoun County Health Department is seeking a skilled, independent, and highly motivated Public Health Nurse Supervisor to join our team to oversee our growing Long-Term Services Support (LTSS) program. This is a new full-time role based at our office in Ashburn, Virginia, with core work hours of Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As the LTSS Supervisor, you will manage a team of Public Health Nurses who provide screenings to residents requesting home evaluations for LTSS services, a program administered through the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). In addition, this team will support the Tuberculosis program co-located in Ashburn. Approximately 50% of the role will focus on leadership, program management, and supervision, while the remaining 50% will involve providing direct patient care in the community. Preceptorship for this position is provided.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Plans, develops, and manages the LTSS program and serves as a subject matter expert. * Provides direct care to clients in their homes. * Manages utilization; defines program capacity, such as frequency and duration. Defines productivity standards for the program and for staff. Develops methods for reviewing and monitoring standards. * Performs research and analysis of topics and data related to department; participates in data gathering and analysis meetings; and proposes effective strategies, policies, solutions, and interpretations to address identified issues. * Prepares written reports and studies. * Consults to resolve difficult program problems. * Develops policy and procedures related to department and program services. * Ensures collaboration, cooperation, and program development across all service areas. * Oversees the response to, investigation, and resolution of complaints of violations and appeals. * Maintains program documentation. * Provides professional advice and counsel to coworkers; shares knowledge and information based on areas of technical expertise. * Attends meetings of public and private interest groups, other local jurisdictions, and regional and national organizations to represent Loudoun County; discusses issues relative to the assigned area of responsibility. * Supervises staff in accordance with County and HR policies, provides feedback and evaluations, ensures training and certifications are current, addresses performance or staffing issues, and develops schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professionally accredited college or university; four (4) years of related, progressively responsible work experience including one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Possess and maintain an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Virginia. * Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Pass pre-employment background checks to include fingerprinting, NCIC, credit, and DMV checks. * Pass TB test within 10 days of hire. * Vaccination or proof of vaccination as required for Health Care Personnel by the Virginia Department of Health. * Obtain any Department required certifications within established time frames of hire. * Complete required OSHA and HIPAA training.
