Strategic Buyer

Danfoss Power Solutions in Searcyhas an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Strategic Buyer. This role is responsible for operational procurement activities within the local and global plant sites to help the business run smoothly. In the event of supplier quality and delivery problems, the Strategic Buyer handles the situation professionally and effectively. The Strategic Buyer also supports efforts to secure the best Total Cost of Ownership. You will be part of a global procurement team, including, but not limited to Sourcing Project Managers, Global Sourcing Managers and other Strategic Buyers.

This position will be in a Danfoss Power Solutions Industrial plant in North America. Expected travelling will be 10%

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Drive capacity management towards suppliers including bottleneck management.
* Coordinate ramp up and ramp down of new projects.

* Facilitate supplier negotiations, securing favorable agreements and ensuring they are implemented
* Proactively work to improve supplier performance and solve problems.
* Support corrective actions for on time delivery (OTD)

Basic Qualifications:
* 2 or more years of experience in procurement or supply chain

* Strong MS Office skills specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

* Experience with categories and components in hydraulic systems
* Ability to work under pressure and run crisis management

* SAP proficiency
