Job Title: Assembler

Location: North Charleston, SC

Duration: 12 Months

Shifts: Variable - 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM

Position Summary

The Assembler will perform routine production assembly tasks on structural and mechanical components, subassemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual and automated assembly tools.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and related equipment using manual or automated tools.
  • Foster a culture of One Team, Pride, and Ownership.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to address performance risks using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methods.
  • Identify and escalate production constraints or roadblocks that cannot be resolved at the team level through clear communication.
  • Apply Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Boeing Production System (BPS) principles to optimize workflow and improve the work environment.
  • Support overtime work as needed to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities.
  • Support and enhance team performance through cross-training and mentorship.



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing and/or fabrication.
  • At least 1 year of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
  • 1+ year of experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, or other specialized computer tools.



Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of aerospace industry experience.



Education / Experience

  • Typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School Diploma or GED) and 1 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational training or Associate degree).
