Division of Development and Alumni Relations
The Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia advances the goals, objectives, and priorities of the university by generating private financial support, building, and maintaining relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities.
Office of Annual Giving
The Office of Annual Giving is responsible for the ongoing regular solicitation of alumni and friends for support of the university's mission. The office observes an annual fiscal year cycle to engage donors for opportunities to renew and enhance their support of the University, its Schools, Colleges, and Units. Special Giving initiatives are for unique audiences within the university's constituency including but not limited to leadership annual gifts, faculty and staff giving, parent giving, recurring gifts, anniversary giving, matching gifts, crowdfunding, and consecutive year giving. |

- Bachelor's degree with experience related to fundraising, nonprofit management, higher education, sales, marketing, development, business administration, project management, or relationship management. Graduate-level degree may be substituted for experience.
- Knowledge of the University of Georgia is desired.

Position Summary |
The Digital Experience Officer (
DXO) will manage a large portfolio of donors with the goal of building lasting relationships and creating meaningful experiences through engaging communications and one-on-one interactions. The
DXO will connect donors to the University and its schools, colleges, departments, and divisions. They will solicit gifts primarily between $250 and $24,999 and develop personalized strategies for increasing year-over-year retention and upgrade of donors while also looking for referrals to build a pipeline for major gift referrals. The
DXO will partner with colleagues across the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (
DAR) to help align donors' philanthropic interests with various priorities across campus, create engagement opportunities, and communicate the impact of philanthropy with donors. The
DXO will conduct virtual meetings. The
DXO must be able to articulate the mission and goals of the University of Georgia while demonstrating enthusiasm and passion. This position reports to the Senior Director of Annual Giving. |

Pipeline development:
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit leadership annual giving donors through email, phone, and virtual meetings.
- Leverage development tools to solicit, renew, and upgrade annual donor support between $500 and $24,999.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) to help align donors' philanthropic interests with various priorities across campus.
- Enter major gift referrals, as appropriate, through the leadership annual giving lead system.
- Responsible for achieving all annual fundraising and performance goals.

- Execute quarterly touchpoints to steward recent leadership annual giving donors and those with an open pledge to maintain relationships and set donors up for future solicitations.
