ABOUT THE JOB
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics between the shop and active construction job sites. This includes supervising field labor crews, transporting tools and materials using trailers, operating equipment, performing vehicle checks, and maintaining safe, clean, and organized staging environments. The role supports overall jobsite readiness, labor coordination, and compliance with safety and maintenance protocols.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Supervise and deploy general laborers and punch technicians across multiple projects Drive company vehicles and safely tow trailers to transport tools, materials, and equipment Perform daily vehicle/equipment inspections; maintain logs and schedule servicing Load, stock, and transport materials to and from the shop and job sites Place material/tool orders and manage field and shop inventory Operate certified equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, mower) as needed Enforce PPE usage and maintain safety standards on all assigned sites Submit daily reports detailing labor deployment, equipment use, and material movement Report and document safety violations, incidents, and near-misses per company policy Support the Shop Project Manager with scheduling, logistics planning, and labor coordination
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Aid in shop & yard organization Mentor New Laborers Support with light administrative duties Temporarily fill in for Job Site Supervision
Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a clear driving record for the past 3-5 years Ability to pull and maneuver trailers loaded with tools or materials OSHA 10 Physically capable of lifting and carrying 50-100 lbs regularly Equipment operation certification preferred (forklift, skid steer, etc.) At least 2 years of supervisory experience in construction labor or logistics Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
