Overview
The Big O Accounting Clerk performs audit and clerical duties related to processing and reconciling daily Accounts Payable data for Big O Tires locations and communicates with field personnel to resolve errors.

Responsibilities



  • Audit daily purchasing reports to verify all supplier invoices are included and accurately entered.
  • Compare daily scanned documents to information entered in Great Plains. Communicate with field personnel to resolve errors.
  • Communicate with Big O Tires stores regarding missing or incomplete documentation in a timely manner. Follow up when necessary to ensure required information is received.
  • Respond to incoming calls and email requests in a timely manner, researching as needed to provide accurate information or resolve issues.
  • Maintain electronic files of reports and supplier invoices.
  • Support the team by assisting others as required to meet team deadlines.
  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Capability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or sitting) for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a growing and rapidly changing organization.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform detail work with accuracy.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States


Preferred Skills



  • Associate or bachelor's degree.
  • Accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics), or PDI.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of time management skills.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to set priorities and goals and develop plans for achieving them.
