ARES is seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager with specialization in Organizational Change Management to provide project manager support to the Strategy Division Innovation and Change Lead in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will include but not be limited to the following activities in support of Organizational Change Management:
  • Lead stakeholder analysis and engagement strategies for discoverability.
  • Develop change impact assessments and readiness plans.
  • Create and manage tailored change communications and training toolkits.
  • Partner with Program and OCIO leads, under the direction of the Innovation and Change Lead, to coordinate adoption activities across business units.
  • Collaborate with customer and other team members to conceptualize and execute ideas.
  • Strategic Change Leadership:
  • Design and implement enterprise-level change strategies aligned to digital transformation, AI, and data initiatives.
  • Translate technical goals (e.g., GenAI rollout, IT modernization) into actionable, human-centered change plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communications:
  • Develop and execute multi-channel engagement strategies to inform, involve, and influence internal audiences across NASA.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping, personal development, and audience segmentation to tailor messaging and outreach.
  • Build and deploy campaign calendars, editorial plans, and feedback loops to drive awareness, adoption, and sentiment tracking.
  • Organizational Readiness & Impact Analysis:
  • Conduct change readiness assessments and impact analyses at organizational and role-specific levels.
  • Surface cultural, process, and adoption risks early through interviews, surveys, and diagnostic tools.
  • Facilitate alignment workshops and listening sessions to identify pain points, use cases, and engagement priorities.
  • Tools, Templates & Playbooks:
  • Create change playbooks, sponsor toolkits, communications templates, and stakeholder engagement guides.
  • Provide reusable frameworks that scale across multiple initiatives, programs, or mission areas.
  • Customize assets to support specific tool rollouts (e.g., AI registry, code generation tools, ServiceNow pilots).
  • Training, Enablement & Change Capability-Building:
  • Collaborate with workforce and performance teams to co-design learning journeys and enablement content.
  • Integrate AI/data fluency and change capability into upskilling programs.
  • Facilitate coaching, readiness sessions, and manager enablement workshops.
  • Cross-Functional Integration:
  • Act as a liaison across technical and business teams to ensure seamless adoption of new tools, processes, and platforms.
  • Align with other support functions to unify messaging and approach.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education - BA/BS in Communications, Mass Communications, Electronic Media, or a related field.
  • Minimum experience - 8 years.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • 8+ years' experience in Project Management, Strategic Development, and Change Control.
  • 3+ years' experience in Organizational Change Management.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills and ability to determine organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous NASA or Federal Government experience.
  • CCMP (Certified Change Management Practitioner)
  • Prosci(R) Change Certification
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
