The Senior Director of Talent Management and HRBPs will lead the strategy and execution of our talent development and organizational development efforts, ensuring our leaders and employees are equipped to succeed and drive meaningful impact. As a strategic thought partner to business and HR leaders, you will drive leadership development, and organizational design initiatives that strengthen our leadership pipeline and enhance organizational resilience. You'll collaborate with team members to help evolve performance management and employee listening practices, ensuring they are impactful and aligned with our values and the ever-evolving needs of our business. You'll lead our HRBP function, enabling you to see the impact of the talent management initiatives and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
This role requires strong coaching skills, change management, and the ability to plan and execute flawlessly on people-related activities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has extensive strategic, programmatic and HR functional knowledge and thrives in managing multiple people initiatives and interactions with all levels of the organization.
Talent Management Responsibilities:
- Scale, integrate, and enable our newly created values into all levels of leadership development and performance management.
- Design and implement high-impact leadership programs that address leadership needs at different career stages, including managing vendor partnerships to leverage external programs and services.
- Elevate our listening strategies and tools.
- Launch a Manager Toolkit and an Organizational Design Playbook, providing HRBPs and business leaders with best practices and frameworks for team and organizational effectiveness
- Promote a Growth mindset and strategic agility, driving innovation, learning quickly, and pushing for what's possible near and long term
HR Business Partners Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of experienced HRBPs as they:
- Develop a deep understanding of the business to appropriately guide and influence leaders on their talent agenda.
- Guide business through all talent processes, including performance management cycle, compensation processes, business unit restructuring, workforce and succession planning, and manager training.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with people leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
- Partner with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards on opening and closing roles aligned to job architecture and org design.
- Provide day to day performance management guidance to all levels of leadership (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, performance improvement plans.
- Support onboarding of new leaders, including facilitation of new leader assimilation.
- Manage and resolve a broad range of ER issues in partnership with our HR Ops and Legal team
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge (Required):
- BA/BS degree
- Prior experience working for pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, life science and gene or cell therapy preferred.
- 12+ year in progressive senior HR positions, demonstrating accountability, impact, growth, with at least 4 years of experience in HRBP function
- Strong expertise in organizational design, change management, and leadership coaching.
- Strategic mindset with excellent project management with strong delivery & execution focus
- Experience leading change initiatives from end to end.
- Excellent executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven ability to design and scale leadership development programs aligned with business strategy.
- Experience leading high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing needs, and be resilient.
- Self-motivated and assertive with the ability to hunt down answers and drive solutions
- Strong MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills, with creative presentation and advanced excel skills.
- Ability to travel as required
